For every order made, one tree is planted! We have
partnered with OneTreePlanted to plant one tree for each purchase made. With
every purchase, you are contributing to restoration of Australian forests.

Planting trees is important in cleaning the air we breathe, filtering
the water we drink and a single tree can be home to hundreds of species of insect,
fungi, moss, mammals, and plants.

Australia makes up 3% of the world’s forests and our
contributions go to creating habitat corridors for koalas, enhancing biodiversity,
and promoting sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices.

OneTreePlanted has planted more than 40 million trees in over
43 countries.

We are partnering with Greenfleet to offset carbon emissions
during the delivery process. This donation helps to plant native forests which
reduce the impacts of climate change, improve biodiversity and water quality in
Australian and New Zealand forests.

Greenfleet have already planted 9.6 million trees, created more
than 500 forests and offset 3.5 million tonnes of carbon.

This means the deliveries received from our sustainable manufacturer, and the delivery to
your door is carbon neutral!

Our collection uses only 100% Linen! Linen is also 100% biodegradable and compostable!

Linen uses up to 70% less water than other fabrics like conventional or organic cotton. A Linen shirt uses approximately 6.5 litres of water compared to 2,700 litres for a cotton shirt.

Linen is also one of the oldest fabrics used to make clothing, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Linen that is well cared for can last up to three decades and can be traced back to 8000BCE!

Linen is made from the durable plant, flax. The UN estimates flax requires 13 times less pesticides than most food produce and 1/5 of the pesticides use to grow cotton.

This means if for any reason you no longer love your Hone pieces (and we hope this never happens!) they can be donated, re-sold or returned to the earth.

Our packaging is 100% biodegradable. You will receive your order in a compostable parcel bag & shipping label, with biodegradable tissue paper, thank you card, sticker and hang tag!

The parcel bag & shipping label can be composted at home (AS5810) or within a commercial compost (AS4736) and have a 10-month shelf life when not composted. 

Our packing slips are also made of 100% recycled paper from sustainably sourced timber. We're working towards our packaging being entirely compostable in future!

Slow fashion is a part of our ethos in order to avoid waste and unnecessary harm to the environment. Our collections are not ordered in large quantities and we always start with small orders to trial new styles. This means we let our customers dictate demand and avoid over-production and excess waste.

We concentrate on providing quality over quantity that are designed to be timeless and long lasting. This means our garments are designed with the future in mind and are made to be treasured for generations to come.

Hone is designed in Melbourne, Australia and manufactured in Dongguan by a small team that ensures slower production schedules and fair wages to all workers. On average, a collection includes 10 styles taking between 45 to 75 days to produce. Fair wages, a supportive and hygienic workplace and elimination of child labour is a part of how we exhibit corporate social responsibility.

No one should be harmed in the production or distribution of our products, nor should they sacrifice sustainability. We are committed to implementing and developing sustainable and ethical practices at Hone, including ensuring fair wages, annual leave entitlements and gender equality within our manufacturing team.
